Intro
Level: Learn the fundamentals of
Iyengar Yoga including body alignment and the proper use of props.
Shoulder stand is introduced at this level. Students
new to Iyengar Yoga are required to attend Introduction classes.
Level
1: includes standing, sitting and
twisting postures to increase strength and flexibility.
Level
2: includes forward bends, backbends,
and headstands. These classes explore the benefits and challenges
of more advanced asanas (postures). Please speak with your teacher
before moving ahead to Level 2.
Level
2/3: This 2 hour class is for students
with a regular personal practice who wish to explore more advanced asanas.
Please check with your teacher before moving into Level
2/3.
Seniors
Yoga: A class for seniors
wanting to extend mobility and increase activity level. Offers
stretches to improve flexibility enough to start doing yoga or other
forms of exercise. Stretches include lying down, sitting, and
standing with the use of props to assist every level of ability.
