Whole foods are foods in their naturally occurring states or foods processed just enough to be digested.

Organic food is food grown without the use of chemical pesticides, fertilizers or genetic modification. Organic dairy products and meats come from animals raised eating organic plant based foods and are not treated with hormones or antibiotics.

Eating whole foods is important because these foods retain most of their nutritional properties.
Whole Foods include: Fresh Fruits; Vegetables; Whole Grains such as Brown & Wild Rice, Barley, Oats, Quinoa, Millet, and many more; Legumes & Beans; Nuts & Seeds; Meats, Milk and Eggs.

Digestion. Taking the time to eat slowly is a great way to improve digestion. A major cause of indigestion is simply not chewing thoroughly enough, this helps make antacid companies rich while impoverishing your balance of stomach acids, enzymes and flora. Having a good balance of friendly bacteria in our systems also helps regulate our digestion.  Sources of friendly bacteria include naturally fermented foods such as; lactic-fermented sauerkraut and other vegetables, yogourts & Kefir containing acidophilous and bifidus, and naturally soured cheeses.  We carry a wide variety of friendly bacteria food sources.
